Position Title: Business Sales Executive
Role Status: Full Time – Permanent

Position Summary:

This role is the key point of contact between Bluesky and its business clients. It requires planning, directing and controlling all business sales activities in the allocated territory. It is responsible for the maximisation of sales for Bluesky’s products to its business accounts.

Key Accountabilities and Results Areas

·         Identify sales opportunities and develop new business accounts; achieve sales targets for a wide range of Bluesky services and products.


·         Initiate and develop ideas & strategies to obtain more sales activities.

·          Effective and efficient performance of sales duties including reporting and managing sales issues.

 Major Responsibilities

·         Identify large corporate or government/ministry sales prospects through face to face solicitation of targeted prospects within an assigned territory or following leads from internal and/or external sources

·         Achieve new sales quotas and maintain established business customers in an assigned territory

·         Arrange and conduct product demonstrations and presentations

·         Monitor industry and competitor sales and product strategies, and promotional campaigns and communicate to Director of Sales on a regular basis.

·         Negotiate price and volume discounts within well-defined schedules and guidelines

·         Maintain regular contact new and existing customers to identify new business opportunities

·         Progressive managing an opportunity pipeline (funnel), closing all possible opportunities to achieve monthly targets.

·         Upkeep of proposal and contract records

·         Daily liaison with Sales Support team and other internal teams (customer service, marketing, technical) to provide information and ensure that customers receive excellent customer service.

·         Provide detailed information and reports to management as and when required.

·         Complete small, short-term projects with weekly to quarterly timeframes; perform ongoing, regular assigned tasks on a weekly/monthly basis

·         Provide Business and Residential Sales leads to appropriate executive or representative

·         Undertake other duties as and when directed within the scope of the role and capabilities of the incumbent and abide by all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation as they apply to the position.

 Key Requirements and Competencies

Qualifications/ Experience:

·           Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Computer Science or related field.

·           OR an equivalent of three years work experience in sales preferably business to business sales in telecommunications


Knowledge/ Skills /Ability:


·         Effective time management and organizational skills as well as sound product knowledge and industry perspective.

·         Fundamental problem solving abilities.

·         Work independently with minimal supervision

·         Strong communication skills with strong business related knowledge

·         Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

·         Capable to thrive in today’s competitive market

·         Strong determination and be able to face and interact with customers easily with full confidence.
