Thursday 21st Oct, Apia, Samoa – You reap what you sow.  That was the message given to the BlueSky Manu Samoa 7s squad that made the finals of the recent Gold Coast 7s at a special presentation held today at Bluesky Samoa headquarters, Maluafou.

In what was our first Cup Final in two years, the boys in blue put up a brave fight against the Flying Fijians, losing 31-24 after coming back from being behind 26-0.  The team’s management and some of the players who went to the Gold Coast were presented with a cheque for $12,500 as bonuses. Each player received $500, with $5,000 going to the Samoa Rugby Union to help with the team’s preparations for the upcoming Sevens World Series legs.

BlueSky’s Chief Technical Officer, Alex Abraham, presented the cheque to Fred Amoa, CEO of the Samoa Rugby Union, and Galumalemana Rudolf Moors, Manager of the Manu Samoa 7s team.  BlueSky staff were also on hand to congratulate the team on their stellar performance.

The team’s trainings for the next leg of the World Series in Dubai on the 5th and 6th of December commenced this week.
